What to Eat in Jeju – Neulbom Heukdwaeji Black Pork BBQ

Jeju Eats and Sights from the Videos: From Black Pork to Sunrise Peak

2026-10-11

A roundup of the Jeju spots featured in travel videos, from black pork BBQ and Dongmun Market to Hyeopjae Beach, Yongduam Rock, Cheonjeyeon Waterfall and Seongsan Ilchulbong, plus tips for planning your route.

Jeju, the Volcanic Island, Through the Videos

Jeju is known for its volcanic landscapes, its haenyeo (women divers) culture and its black pork. Beyond black pork, local favorites include jari-mulhoe (a chilled raw damselfish soup), grilled hairtail and mackerel, and fresh seafood. Below are the restaurants, markets and natural sights that appear in travel videos about the island.

Places to Eat

Neulbom Heukdwaeji

A restaurant specializing in grilled Jeju black pork. It is featured in What to Eat in Jeju – Neulbom Heukdwaeji Black Pork BBQ, where you can watch the pork being grilled and tasted. A good reference if trying black pork is high on your Jeju list.

Dongmun Market & Black Pork Street

A market area where you can try black pork alongside a range of street food. It appears in Jeju Street Food – Black Pork Street & Dongmun Market. It suits travelers who like to wander and sample a little of everything.

Sea and Nature

Hyeopjae Beach

A place to slow down at an ocean-view cafe and simply watch the water, something Koreans call "mulmeong." It is shown in EP.303 of Welcome, First Time in Korea? (어서와 한국은 처음이지), an episode covering a seafood breakfast, a Hyeopjae ocean-view cafe and black pork.

Yongduam Rock (Dragon Head Rock)

A seaside rock formation tied to Jeju folklore, known for its distinctive shape against the ocean. You can see it in Jeju travel videos such as the 4-hour summer Jeju compilation from Welcome, First Time in Korea?

Yongyeon Cloud Bridge

A suspension bridge set within Jeju's natural scenery, where you can walk across and take in the views. It is one of the stops seen in the show's Jeju compilation.

Cheonjeyeon Waterfall

A waterfall with a walking path that lets you enjoy Jeju's nature up close. The summer compilation video gives a sense of its cool, refreshing atmosphere.

Seongsan Ilchulbong (Sunrise Peak)

One of Jeju's signature landmarks, known as a hike to the top. In the Welcome, First Time in Korea? Jeju videos, the cast climbs the peak.

Route Tips

Yongduam Rock and Yongyeon Cloud Bridge sit close together on the Jeju City side, so they pair well with Dongmun Market for an easy day: snack your way through the market, then finish with a black pork dinner. Hyeopjae Beach is on the west coast, Cheonjeyeon Waterfall is to the south toward Seogwipo, and Seongsan Ilchulbong is on the east side, so they are fairly far apart. Splitting your days by west, south and east will cut down on travel time. The Sunrise Peak hike takes some stamina, so consider scheduling it early in your trip on a day without much else planned.
